CARE

&

CO

Schoonmaken_VanFraai 002.jpg

Your solid wood furniture is not only robust and sustainable, but also radiates timeless beauty.

Despite their durability, regular care is crucial to preserve their natural beauty. With a little care and love, you can maintain their functionality and beautiful appearance for many years .

Why is oiling or waxing necessary?

Applying a coat of oil or wax at least once a year is essential to revitalize the wood and keep your furniture in good condition. We prefer to use natural oil. The invisible guardian - unlike varnish, oil penetrates the wood and allows it to absorb less liquid, reducing the risk of water and even red wine stains on the furniture.

Borma Hard Top Oil is a nourishing oil for wooden surfaces. It protects wood from moisture and wear and gives it a natural, matt shine. Ideal for kitchens, worktops and tabletops as well as other wooden furniture. The oil is food-safe and easy to apply. Key points: • Natural ingredients: Based on oils, resins and waxes • Protection: Protects wood from moisture and wear • Appearance: Gives a natural, matt shine • Areas of application: Various furniture, tabletops & worktops. • Safety: Food-safe certified • Application: Easy to apply with a brush or cloth

How do I clean my furniture? And major damage

To ensure your furniture has a long and happy life, it is important to keep all wooden surfaces clean. To remove dust or crumbs, you can use a dry or slightly damp cloth. If something spills on the wood, it's no problem. Simply dab the surface with a clean, dry cloth. Even if there are major problems, your solid wood furniture is not lost. By gently sanding with fine sandpaper in the direction of the grain and re-oiling, you can repair surface damage and give your furniture back its original shine.

How do I protect my furniture?

There are a few little things you can do to keep your VanFraai piece as beautiful and pristine as possible throughout its lifespan. • Humidity between 50-60% is ideal for the wood and reduces the risk of cracks caused by shrinkage. • Avoid direct sunlight as the UV rays can cause the wood to fade or discolor. • If you've made it to this point, there's probably nothing more to say, but still, please, use coasters whenever you can
